Erectile Dysfunction Update

Men who regularly take NSAIDs may be at increased risk for erectile dysfunction.
USA Today (3/2, Marcus) reports, "Men who regularly take pain relievers such as ibuprofen and aspirin may be at increased risk for erectile dysfunction," according to a study in the Journal of Urology. The researchers reviewed over 80,000 patients between the ages of 45 and 69. Erectile dysfunction, which was assessed by questionnaire and NSAID use, which was determined from pharmacy records and self-reported data, showed that men who use NSAIDs "three times a day for more than three months are at a 22% increased risk of erectile dysfunction."
